Never let the truth get in the way of a good story

Since the publication of the Foreign Minsiter’s letter , the Armenian Lobby has become increasingly shrill in its criticism, and protest over the Australian government’s position on the events of 1915.

The simple fact is that the Australian government does not recognise the events of 1915 as amounting to a genocide. This, of course, sent the Armenian Lobby into a complete meltdown. They have, since June 2014, gone into a lobbying overdrive in order to try to get the government to change its position. Not being able, on this occasion, to put pressure on politicians to force them to do what they wanted, the Armenain lobby group is forced to adopt new tactics.

Turkish nationalist committee barred from entering Athens

The Talat Paşa Committee, a Turkish nationalist organization aiming to counter recognition of the 1915 events as the “Armenian genocide,” has been refused entry to Athens, where it had gone to issue a statement in protest at a recently approved Greek bill.

Yunanistan’da İşçi Partisi Genel Başkan Yardımcısı gözaltına alındı

Yunan Parlamentosu’nun Türkiye aleyhinde aldığı “soykırımın inkârının cezalandırılması” kararlarını kınamak üzere Atina’ya giden Talat Paşa Komitesi geri çevrilirken İşçi Partisi Uluslararası İlişkiler Bürosu Başkanı Yunus Soner ve iki kişi gözaltına alındı.

Turkish PM Davutoğlu to join Paris attacks rally

Among other European leaders, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu will make an extraordinary show of support for France by joining a mass rally in Paris on Jan. 11.

There were calls for Davutoğlu to join the demonstration as a wave of global support continued following the bloody end to the Charlie Hebdo attacks’ sieges.
