On 17 December, 1980, the “Justice Commandos of the Armenian Genocide”, a terrorist group with strong support amongst the Australian Armenian community assassinated the Turkish Consul General Mr Sarik Ariyak and his bodyguard.Like we do every year, the Australian Turkish Community will gather at the Turkish Consulate General in Woollahra to commemorate the lives of these great diplomats.
